Bullet Fired up Inside Hyderabad ATM - Woman Robbed of Cash & Jewellery
Srilatha, a 24 year old woman is the other victim of the robbery that took place inside an ATM located in the heart of city, Hyderabad. Recently, a few months back, a Woman was attacked and robbed inside an ATM kiosk. This incident took place in Bangalore. Today, same situation got repeated, but the location is different.
Srilatha, who resides in Hyderabad works as a Call Centre Employee. She has decided to withdraw some amount of cash at a nearby ATM in the city today. The woman was on her way to work visited a State Bank ATM in the morning. She went inside the ATM and had finished using the machine and heading back to come out of the ATM. As soon as she completed her task using the machine, an unknown person approached her in an aggressive manner. The assailant asked her to handover the whole cash that is with her. But the woman refused to hand over the cash to the assaulter. The robber whipped out a gun and fired at the wall of the ATM.
She got shocked and revealed her ATM PIN number with the assailant in order to rescue herself. Later, the attacker grabbed her gold chain and earrings along with her ATM card and raced away on a two-wheeler. Srilatha received a text message after few minutes informing that an amount of Rs. 2,500 had been withdrawn from her account.
Immediately, the victim approached the Police and informed the whole incident. The police have given an assurance of tracing the robber with the help of the CCTV footage and the SMS that she has received after he used the ATM card of Srilatha. We can locate the robber through the message that has been received by the victim. He also said that, earlier many robbery incidents happened inside an ATM and assailants were traced by the help of CCTV.
No Guard Present at ATM
During this incident, there is no guard present at the ATM. Many such incidents took place as there is no security in the ATM. Hence, the attackers are planning and assailing the public easily. The Government must take safety measures in order to secure the public from such robbery and appoint a security guard at every ATM centre.
