It was on 12th October 2014, exactly a year ago as the severe cyclonic storm Hudhud hit the city Vizag with a fury never imagined before and left it gasping for breath. The damage caused by the cyclone has changed the landscape of the port city. It made a huge landfall on Andhra Pradesh coast triggering heavy downpour and widespread destruction in the coastal regions. Effective governance and emergency strategies helped, saving thousands but it destroyed a major part of the beautiful city, just the infrastructure but not the will of its people.
