Three persons were killed and five others injured in a car accident in Vijayawada city. The incident happened around 3pm. The car fell from 8 feet height after hitting a railing near Benz Circle in Vijayawada. Reports said a speeding car, carrying Pushkaraalu pilgrims and bearing the number AP 30 P 4789, dashed against road divider at Benz circle and turned upside down resulting in the tragedy. As soon as the vehicle collapsed the doors were locked. Neighbours broke the glass to rescue the injured. The dead included one woman and a child. The rest of all moved to the hospital nearby.
